Martin Müller 🇩🇪

Martin grew up in the Taunus ‘mountain’ range close to Wiesbaden (Germany), and lived in Umeå (Sweden), Tübingen (Germany), Göttingen (Germany), Lausanne (Switzerland), and San Francisco (US), before moving to Zurich (Switzerland). During his MSc and PhD, he investigated short-term synaptic plasticity in Ralf Schneggenburger’s lab at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany, and EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. As a postdoc, Martin joined Grae Davis’ lab at UCSF to study homeostatic plasticity. In 2013, he became an Assistant Professor at the Department of Molecular Life Sciences of the University of Zurich. Besides science, Martin loves cycling, running and hiking, especially in the (real) mountains.
