Sina was born in Gütersloh (NRW) Germany and did an on-the-job training at the University of Bielefeld to become a lab technician . After that, her first workstop was in a pharma-company in Konstanz (Nycomed) where she worked mostly with cell cultures and performed patch-clamp to test drug-candidates.
After some years she figured out that the industry work is not as challenging and interesting as the research at universities. So she came 2007 as lab manager to the Lab from Prof. Dr.Christian Lehner. There she worked mostly with Drosophila melanogaster (cellculture, molekularbiologie..). After C. Lehner gets retiered, she moved 2022 to the Lab from Prof. M. Müller.
In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband and their son. They love to travel, and stay in nature for activities. She also likes to play badminton with her husband (interclub) and people from other UZH (ASVZ). And a big passion from her is to bake tortes, cakes and bread.
